So Long, Ugly Concrete Stoop; Hello, Gorgeous!

When we first moved into this house, there was a crumbling, sloping, truly ugly concrete stoop greeting our guests at the front door.  We tried to have the sellers fix it, but they declined.  We made it a priority.

But once in the house, we realized there were other needs that had to come first.  At the end of January, we finished the inside rennovations - only took us 18 months.  It was finally time to address the front porch.

I don't have pics of the eyesore or of the demo, but here's a pic of the near-finished front deck (and Chris, the builder):

Once finished, it will have a skirt that digs into the ground (to keep the critters out) and steps on the backside, as well.  We'll add a bench and some shade-loving hostas to complete the design.
